9/27/20 Hiking at Cathedral Rock in Mount Charleston, NV

Winston seated on the side of the trail

We decided we needed to get out of town for an afternoon and being that it’s still summer in Vegas, we chose to head up to Mount Charleston! We haven’t done Cathedral Rock and figured it’d be a good trail to do. We packed up Winston along with some food for the big guy, filled our water bottles and headed up.

Views of the mountains around Mt Charleston

It was still a bit warm, about 78 degrees but had a nice breeze. The trail was 2.75 miles with a decent ascent of 856 feet. It was uphill most of the time, started in a tight trail then opened up with nice views. It took us 2 hours and 5 minutes round trip with a few stops and some photos at the top! Overall, would highly recommend, even Winston enjoyed it!
